Kyneburgh Tower, Southgate Street, Gloucester
Kyneburgh Tower, Southgate Street, Gloucester
Sculpture by Tom Price, completed in 2011. The sculpture is based on the story of St Kyneburgh, a Saxon princess who is said to have come to Gloucester fleeing an arranged marriage. Having been adopted by a baker, she was killed by the baker's wife and her body thrown down a well. The shape is meant to represent the well as well as a number of spiritual aspects relating to the story. LinkExternal link
