Priory Stones and Carvings
Priory Stones and Carvings
An archaeological dig was carried out in the 1860s by Thomas Chaloner the then Lord Gisborough. The stones and carvings were laid out in his gardens nearby. Over the years these were forgotten and the garden became overgrown. Recently they have been rediscovered and the undergrowth cleared. This is but a small area of the artifacts.
