Old Milestone on the A639, Roman Ridge, Thorpe Manor

Metal plate attached to stone post by the A639, in parish of Thorpe Audlin (Wakefield District), 2 miles North of A1 junction, on deep ditch by wood near bridleway, opposite line of field hedge, on East side of road. Brayshaw & Booth iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th century.

Inscription reads:-

Erm, excuse me Mr. Pie-YooDa-Manius, but I have information that this image was not taken on Tuesday, 27 August, 2002 but at 7.59pm on Tuesday 11 June 2002.

Nor in fact was it taken by you and your fancy appareil de photo, but by me and my poor old simple Canon Ixus 300.

And how come "The copyright on this image is owned by Simon Johnston" when you had no hand in its creation, only in its posting? Huh? Huh?

Sir, I demand satisfaction and request most rudely that you meet me at dawn at the following location (on my next visit there, time t.b.c.) to resolve this once and for all. Choose your weapon wisely - it might be the last chance you have.
