Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus)
This predatory bully is the world's largest gull.It is often seen following trawlers and when free fish are not on the menu it will thrive on voles, offal, other sea birds and the varied offerings from municipal dumps. They are known to kill and maim newborn lambs in desolate areas.
