St Clare's Roman Catholic Church
St Clare's Roman Catholic Church
St. Clare's began as a small church in 1929, serving the spiritual needs of the immigrant Catholics who settled on the outskirts of industrial Manchester. The present church of St. Clare's was completed in 1958. It is quite spacious and is made more attractive with a wonderful interior, having side altars, mosaic works and extensive pews. The most prominent feature of the church is the colourful mosaic above the high alters which shows St. Clare of Assisi raising the Blessed Sacrament, source of blessings and spiritual protection. It is the only Franciscan church in the city, LinkExternal link
