This plaque commemorating the opening of the Moss Side Fire Station has been rescued (in two pieces seemingly). The station was still there in 1972 - see LinkExternal link - but has since been demolished.

The plaque is on display inside the Fire Service Museum SD8912 : Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum in Rochdale.
