Port of Tyne Pilot Boat Collingwood
Port of Tyne Pilot Boat Collingwood
The Port of Tyne's pilot boat "Collingwood" in rough seas outside the entrance to the River Tyne.

The Collingwood was named after Lord Admiral Collingwood, the Newcastle-born hero of the Battle of Trafalgar. It was designed and built by Pembroke Dock and launched in 2008, the first example of a mainstream aluminium pilot boat to be used in the UK.
