Trace fossils at Crail
Trace fossils at Crail
The rocks at Crail contain some interesting fossils. As well as some impressive plant remains [Link], the site is famous for trace fossils - the fossilised tracks of Arthropleura, a giant millipede. The slab in the photograph is about a metre across, and shows the parallel tracks crossing from top left to bottom right.
