Severn Valley Railway - a pair of pannier tanks
At Kidderminster Station. Closest to the camera is No. 1501. This was one of ten 0-6-0PT engines in the 15xx series and entered service for British Railways in 1949. It ended its life working for the National Coal Board from 1961 to 1970 and was then acquired by the Severn Valley Railway. It is ahead of No. 7714, which is an 0-6-0PT built by Kerr, Stuart & Company of Stoke on Trent in 1930. It was withdrawn in 1959 and sold to the National coal Board for use at Penallta Colliery. It was acquired by the Severn Valley Railway in 1973.
Note that 1501 is in BR lined black with the earlier BR logo. 7714 is in plain black with a different version of the logo.
