Wullie Gone Wild
Wullie Gone Wild
One of the artworks in the Oor Wullie's BIG Bucket Trail. Wullie Gone Wild, created by Lois Cordelia is located beside St Andrew Square, Edinburgh.

Wullie becomes a three dimensional canvas which depicts silhouettes of Scottish wildlife. The black silhouettes contrast with a painterly background of glowing, iridescent colours that evoke the beauty of day and night, weather, rainbow and the Northern Lights. Inspired by the rich biodiversity of Scotland’s beautiful and distinctive wildlife, Wullie takes a walk on the wild side. How many species can you spot? See [LinkExternal link].
Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail

Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail ran for 11 weeks from 17th June 2019 – 30th August 2019. There were 200 Oor Wullies, mainly in the Scottish cities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. Scotland’s first ever national public art trail aimed to raise awareness and vital funds for Scotland’s children’s hospital charities.
There was also an Oor Wullie’s WEE Bucket Trail with over 300 wee Oor Wullie sculptures. These had been designed and created by wee yin’s and big yin’s at nurseries, schools and community groups.
Funds raised through the trail will support Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity, and the ARCHIE Foundation.
At the end of the Trail period, the individual art works were sold off at auctions in the five host cities.
