SP4541 : Oxford Canal: Grimsbury Wharf

taken 2 months ago, near to Banbury, Oxfordshire, Great Britain

Oxford Canal: Grimsbury Wharf
Oxford Canal: Grimsbury Wharf
Grimsbury Wharf is now a dead end private mooring, but until the construction of the A422 Hennef Way road, and the diversion of the canal under it, this backwater was on the main Oxford Canal, with Swing Bridge Number 162 crossing it at the wharf.

Please compare with Stephen McKay's SP4541 : Grimsbury Wharf taken only about 6 weeks earlier, which shows the same craft moored in the same berths.

The red building at the end of the wharf is a CitroŽn garage.
