The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway was operating two steam locomotives and one diesel on this Sunday. This is a class 26 diesel electric BoBo. It carries the earlier BR number of D5343 and was built by the Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company in 1959. It is powered by a Sulzer diesel producing 1160 hp at 750 rpm and driving Crompton Parkinson electrical apparatus. The class was rated to 80 mph. Later in the day it was carrying a 60 years headboard.
