SU0665 : Buildings on Wansdyke

taken 9 months ago, near to Allington, Wiltshire, Great Britain

Buildings on Wansdyke
Buildings on Wansdyke
A couple of farm outbuildings surrounded by trees, interrupting the 5th or 6th Century defensive ditch and bank of Wansdyke, part of which can be seen on the right of the photo. Buildings are marked here on the 1886 1:2,500 map, so the damage to the site was presumably done long before any development here would have been considered totally unacceptable.
