M8 Kingston Bridge across the Clyde, Glasgow
M8 Kingston Bridge across the Clyde, Glasgow
Looking across the A814 Clyde Expressway towards the ten-lane bridge of the M8 across the River Clyde. Southbound traffic is being filtered for the local junction for Kingston on the south bank, M8 westbound and M77 westbound. Turning towards the M74 southeast from here takes some ingenuity. The domed building is the Co-Operative Building, part of a cluster of warehouses built on the south bank of the river in 1893 for the Scottish Co-Operative Wholesale Society and used by CoOp until 1977, when it was turned into flats and commercial units.
