TVR Number 85 Takes on Water at Keighley
Former Taff Valley Railway Class 02 0-6-2T locomotive Number 85 takes on water next to the signal box at the end of Platform 3 at Keighley. The signal box was dismantled and moved to the Railway from Shipley, Bingley Junction. Number 85 was built in 1899 by Neilson Reid for the Taff Vale Railway, which connected the Cardiff area with the coal mining industry located a few miles to the north. After the Taff Vale Railway was taken over by the GWR in 1922, the engine soon became surplus to requirements and in 1929 the engine was sold to the Lambton, Hetton & Joicey Colliery Company in County Durham to haul coal trains between the inland collieries and the coast and it remained in service there until 1968. It arrived at the KWVR in 1970 and was re-built to its original outline by a group of Worth Valley volunteers. It is now in its original fully lined-out Taff Vale Railway livery.
Keighley and Worth Valley Railway :: SE0335

The KWVR is a branch line off the former Midland Main Line at Keighley in West Yorkshire, terminating at Oxenhope near the head of the Worth Valley. The line opened in 1867, but along with many other branch lines closed in 1962. It was re-started by a preservation society in 1968, one of the first such ventures, and has been a tourist attraction ever since, helped by serving the "Bronte town" of Haworth.

Enough has been written elsewhere (including the Wikipedia entry LinkExternal link and the railway's official website LinkExternal link ) for there to be no need for further elaboration here.
