Glasgow Central station
Glasgow Central station
Glasgow Central is the northern terminus of the West Coast Main Line to London Euston. It opened in 1879 and outgrew demand very quickly. As a result, the station was altered several times before the present building and track layout was installed in 1905. The concourse gives access to 15 platforms, with two additional ones of the Argyle Line crossing at right angles below ground as Glasgow Central Low Level station.
