The King's School - formally known since 2011 as The King's (The Cathedral) School - is located on Park Road. It was established as the Cathedral School in 1541 during the reign of King Henry VIII and still maintains close links to Peterborough Cathedral.
Originally a grammar school for boys only, it became a co-educational comprehensive school in 1976 and is now an Academy. It currently numbers around 1,200 pupils. The school is viewed here from the junction of Park Road and Granville Street.
