University of Reading are excavating at Calleva Atrebatum again this year, once more examining the extensive Bath house. This is both a major excavation of international importance and a training field school for archaeology undergraduates. Silchester has been the launchpad for many hundreds of notable careers in archaeology. Even archaeologists have to eat and this was taken while lunch was being enjoyed. They train them hard at Silchester - apart from the top few inches of soil, everything here has been removed by hand
