NS4760 : A stinkhorn

taken 2 months ago, near to Glenburn, Renfrewshire, Great Britain

A stinkhorn
A stinkhorn
(Phallus impudicus)

This was one of an extensive group of stinkhorns, most of which were at either a later (already fallen over) or an earlier stage; compare TG1035 : Stinkhorn (Phallus impudicus) - eggs. The fungi were a little to the south of a footpath, which large-scale mapping calls Procession Road, in Glen Park.
