Strange Hole in Swanpool Woodland
Strange Hole in Swanpool Woodland
There are several of these holes in the wood. They appear to be quite old, and some have wooden boards inside them. I have been told that they could be old military training fox holes, possibly dating back to the First World War, but this needs confirming. Certainly, this area is very close to that used to test the very first tanks, that were manufactured nearby.
