NZ2564 : Looking down Dene Street
taken 2 years ago, near to Gateshead, Great Britain

Looking down Dene Street
Dene Street, in Newcastle city centre, runs from the bottom of Grey Street down to the Quayside and the River Tyne. Before the High Level bridge was built in the mid C19, it was the principal route up into the city centre. The steepness of the slope can be gauged from the height above the road of the railway viaduct at the bottom.
