NZ2563 : Looking down onto The Side

taken 7 years ago, near to Gateshead, England

Looking down onto The Side
Looking down onto The Side
This view is from the north end of the Tyne Bridge. The Side can be winding its way up from the Quayside and under the railway viaduct. This was the main route into the city from the medieval bridge up to the castle, which is visible on the left. Directly above the viaduct can be seen the spire of St Nicholas's Cathedral. The big tower block on the right is Cale Cross House.
