Forestry road in upper Cwm Tywi, Powys
Forestry road in upper Cwm Tywi, Powys
The famous mountain road linking Abergwesyn and Tregaron can be seen climbing the hill off to the left.
This stony road is a forestry road which climbs high into the northern part of the Tywi Forest. A hundred metres ahead the old drovers' road to Strata Florida forks left along the upper Tywi valley. This is an outstanding walking or rough-stuff cycling route at any time of the year (except following heavy rain).
