Birmingham Canal Old Line from Sheepcote Street
The Distillery was formerly the Fiddle and Bone but is now a genuine gin distillery and public house. I tries a pint of lager from the Purity firm but found it a bit bitter for my liking. The scaffolded building beyond is Roundhouse, Birmingham - former canal stables that are being renovated for The National Trust. There has been an awful lot of canal-side building since I last ventured out to Ladywood. I was in Birmingham for a lecture on Boulton & Watt rotative steam engines and followed up with a little local walk.
