Water infrastructure works
Scottish Water are currently undertaking a £30m project to install a total of around 8 miles of new water main which will run to the north of Mugdock Reservoir. This will allow improvements to the water supply for 54,000 people in parts of Bearsden, Milngavie, Clydebank and Strathblane. The work will lead to the change of the source of the water supply from Burncrooks Water Treatment Works in West Stirlingshire to Milngavie Water Treatment Works in East Dunbartonshire. Burncrooks Water Treatment Works will then be decommissioned.

This section of Mugdock Road beside the reservoir is closed while the work is undertaken.
