Primary settlement tank, Allanfearn WWTW
This is one of two primary settlement tanks at Allanfearn wastewater treatment works. After passing through screening, wastewater travels to these primary settlement tanks. This starts to separate out solid material from the liquid.
Allanfearn Wastewater Treatment Works

Allanfearn treats the wastewater from Inverness, Culloden, and North Kessock, over 47,000 people. On average it receives flows of over 250 litres per second. It also has sludge brought in from other sites, including Fort William.
Allanfearn is operated by Veolia, on behalf of Scottish Water.
