Number 8 Market Street is probably 17th century and built at the same time as its neighbour the Sun Inn. The double shopfront is early 19th century and the property has some original internal features. Listed, grade II, with details at: LinkExternal link
Kirkby Lonsdale is a small town that developed at a crossing of the River Lune. Granted a market charter in 1227, the town at one time had 29 inns and alehouses of which several survive. The town is rich in historic buildings with over 150 listed.
