View from the foot crossing at Tetheringrass Lane
The line between Doncaster and Gainsborough was opened in 1867. Since then all the intervening stations have been closed but the line itself is still open and busy. Until recently North Carr Crossing was closed between 10 pm and 6 am. As can be seen, automatic barriers have now been installed. This is the view in the direction of Doncaster with the crossing keeper's house on the right. Since then all the intervening stations have been closed but the line itself is still open and busy. This view is from Tetheringrass Lane which is a track to the north-east of Beckingham heading out into the fields.
