Bealach Dearg road
Bealach Dearg road
North of the Invercauld woodlands and skirting the head of Glen Feardar. A relaxing break in the climb to the summit of the 650m (730m on the road) pass.

The Bealach Dearg is one of the great Mounth Roads, connecting Braemar with Tomintoul, ideal for moving whisky and probably popular in the smuggling days. No doubt Moray cattle walked this way as well.
