Crossing the side of Creag a' Chait through a few scattered old pines.

The Bealach Dearg is one of the great Mounth Roads, connecting Braemar with Tomintoul, ideal for moving whisky and probably popular in the smuggling days. No doubt Moray cattle walked this way as well.
