View towards Sizewell from The Walks
Beyond the field covered by sheeting, a low earth bank marks a small reservoir, presumably for agricultural uses.
On the horizon, on the right is the blocky structure of the original Sizewell nuclear power station (later known as Sizewell A), built in the early 1960s as part of Britain's first generation of nuclear power stations using the Magnox design. To its left is the white dome of Sizewell B, a pressurised-water reactor built in the late 1980s/early 1990s. Sizewell B still generates power, carried away by the twin pylon lines on the horizon; Sizewell A is decommissioned.
