Castles of Munster: Dunhill, Waterford (1)

High on a rock overlooking the Annestown stream is a tower projecting from a tiny bawn whose north and east sides are almost inaccessible. Known also as Woodstown, this castle of the Powers (Poers) is said to have been captured by Cromwell in 1649.
