Work has long-since stopped. There are media reports about angry investors and the building being offered for sale. This photograph appears as a matter of record only. I have no connection with anybody and cannot enter into correspondence.
The proposed Scottish Mutual hotel site, Belfast

An imposing sandstone, turreted structure at the corner of Donegall Square South and Bedford Street, the Scottish Temperance (later Scottish Mutual) Buildings were built in 1904 to a design by Henry Seaver and remain “as built”. It was reported (July 2013) that the intention is to convert the building into a hotel incorporating ground-floor bars and restaurants.
