The Tower Ballroom
The Tower Ballroom
In 2019 the venue remains closed. See SP0486 : The other Tower Ballroom. The main public car park to the reservoir (which is near The Tower) has also recently been closed off to the public because of anti-social behaviour. However change may be afoot. In summer 2019, Birmingham City Council consulted on the Edgbaston Reservoir Masterplan Draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), the purpose of which is (to quote from the city council website as at 30 September 2019): "to set a new vision for the reservoir, and ensure future development adds value to the area. The vision is to create a regional destination where residents and visitors can enjoy a unique mix of land and water-based leisure and recreation activities".
