Former slaughterhouse, Royal William Yard, Plymouth
Former slaughterhouse, Royal William Yard, Plymouth
One of the many impressive elements of a truly magnificent complex. By John Rennie, with Philip Richards, 1825-33, for the Victualling Board. Grade I listed.
Its conversion by Urban Splash to the usual modern mixed uses - retail, leisure, flats etc - appears to be a relatively rare success story.
