Owned and operated by Jack-up GB Link , Commander is a Mono-hull 600t Self Elevating Platform, currently working on the early stages of construction of a berthing terminal for the many cruise ships which visit Greenock.
JOINT WARRIOR 192 - SUBMARINE, MINEWARFARE AND LIVE FIRING ACTIVITY
Joint Warrior (JW) 192 took place from 5th October to 17th October 2019 and comprised of a programme of exercises conducted by land forces, warships, submarines and aircraft across the UK. The maritime element was focused in the offshore and coastal waters to the north east, north and north west of Scotland.
On 6th October, French helicopter carrier Tonnerre (L9014) was berthed at Greenock Ocean Terminal and USA ship USNS William McLean (T-AKE-12) was berthed at the Tail o' The Bank between Greenock and Helensburgh. They were later joined by RFA Argus (A135) and HMS Albion and spent several days moored at the Tail o' the Bank. These were just some of the many naval ships to visit the Clyde as part of this exercise.
