St Edmunds Church from the north
St Edmunds Church from the north
This is the ancient church of Edmundbyers village. It dates from the early 1200's, but there was a very extensive rebuild in 1858. The present appearance dates largely from then, although parts of the medieval building were incorporated, and the basic shape of the structure was retained.
