Goldie is the second boat of the Cambridge University Boat Club (CUBC), named in tribute to the CUBC's former President John Goldie.

The boathouse is no longer used for the storage of boats but is now instead the fitness and administrative base of the CUBC.

The building is Grade II Listed and the Historic England website describes it thus:-

"Boathouse. 1882. Red brick; machine tile roof. 2 storeys and dormer attic in 4-window range. Ground floor with double timber doors to right; 2 2-light casements with glazing bars and segmental heads to left. 4 French windows to first floor open onto timber balcony. Balcony with turned balustrade and square-section supporting posts rising to flat roof. Gabled roof with 3 dormers: outer 2 pedimented and each with 2 single-light centre-hung casements with glazing bars. Wide pedimented central dormer lit through 2 groups of 2 single-light casements as before, separated by plaster inscription plaque which reads: CUBC Goldie Boathouse. Coat of arms and raised plaster decoration in pediment. Central transverse ridge stack.

It is the oldest intact Cambridge boathouse and the site of the first meeting of the CUBC in March 1883."

Beyond it to the right is Jesus College boathouse.
