This fungus and others of this and other varieties were growing next to a permissive path on the Portman Estate.

By arrangement with the Forestry Commission, the Portman Burtley Estate allows access on permissive paths through Egypt Woods and Dorney Wood. The permissive paths link to roads and public footpaths North of Burnham Beeches.
