Old Mine Shaft
Old Mine Shaft
The Moresdale Great Vein and its assocated strings attracted miners from the mid 16thC, and the shafts date from this period until the late 18thC. It was then forgotten about, until it was tried via levels in the 19thC, but they ran into broken ground & faulting.
