The Custom House, Kings Lynn

The 17th century Custom House is a Grade 1 listed building. It overlooks the site overlooking the site of the town's mediaeval harbour. The Custom House was designed by Henry Bell and built by Sir John Turner in 1683. Initially Customs occupied the top floor with a merchant's exchange on the ground floor. By 1717 Customs used the whole building.
It now houses King Lynn's Tourist Information Office.
