Small herd of wild deer on Swallow Moss
They had been grazing in the rough pastureland before I approached. As they panicked and wheeled away it was difficult to determine the species. At first I thought they might be roe deer but it is more likely that they were red deer as there is certainly a population of red deer in this part of The Staffordshire Moorlands.
