Lincoln: High Street level crossing
Lincoln: High Street level crossing
Train movements cause frequent interruptions to people moving around in the lower town in Lincoln. The situation, however, used to be even more complicated: until 1985 Lincoln had a second station, St Marks, whose lines crossed the High Street a little beyond the distant traffic lights, and the disruption caused by two adjacent level crossings was legendary.
