St Peter's Church: memorial to a colonial judge
Sir Newnham Arthur Worley (2 March 1892 - 13 May 1976) was a barrister who joined the Colonial Legal Service.

The younger son of Charles Worley he was educated at Reigate Grammar School, Emmanuel College Cambridge and the Inner Temple. His first post was in Malayia. He was a Puisne Judge in Singapore's Supreme Court from 1941 to 1947 during which time he was interned by the Japanese. He was Chief Justice of British Guiana then President of the East African Court of Appeal. His final post was as Chief Justice of Bermuda. He retired to Petersfield in 1960 with his wife
Marie, the daughter of the Rev. Robert Rochfort Forlong, Vicar of Hemley in Suffolk: they had two daughters.
