Tortoise triumphant
Sculpture of a tortoise at the base of the Herd Groyne which divides the mouth of the River Tyne from Littlehaven beach. On the opposite side of the Tyne, just to the right of the sculpture can be seen the Old High Light (on the clifftop) and the Low Light which formerly guided boats into the North Shields Fish Quay.
