Churchyard, Edvin Loach
Some very old yews here. This hilltop site has been used for a long time and often local tradition has it that the churches were built on sites sacred to older religions. A path enters the churchyard here, but it did not get on to the definitive map. A glance at the 1:25:000 map suggests that somebody in the 1940s put a lot of effort into ensuring that much of the local path network stayed off the definitive map. Saves Herefordshire Council the trouble of closing them I suppose.
