taken 16 years ago, near to Newington, Kent, England

Poplar trees beside railway line
Poplar trees beside railway line
Looking east, near Newington Station. Poplar trees were traditionally planted to act as windbreaks between orchards, so the fields either side of the railway here were no doubt once used for growing fruit. Sadly - no more!
