Building the new Pooley Bridge
Building the new Pooley Bridge
A month on from the previous set of photos, work has clearly progressed apace but without much visible to the non-expert. This shows clearly the work on the west (true left) bank of the River Eamont. The area beyond the new bridge was, and no doubt will be again, the main car park for the village.
River Eamont

The River Eamont is formed by the outflow from Ullswater in the Lake District, later augmented by Dacre Beck from the west and the River Lowther which carries the water from Haweswater north to the Eamont at Penrith. It reaches the River Eden 3 miles east of Penrith (LinkExternal link Wikipedia).
