The footbridge, at the end of a bridlepath from Biddlestone, crosses the River Alwin and diverges into two footpaths that climb the slope to Clennell Street, above Alwinton. Agricultural vehicles can cross via a ford just downstream NT9207 : Clennell over River Alwin
