The Great Hospital - The Refectory
The Great Hospital - The Refectory
The Refectory is a Grade I listed building with a cross-passage linking it with the Master's accommodation. Dating from the 15th century and later, it was built of flint with brick dressings, and has a pantile roof and a red brick-built end chimney. There are three two-light windows with transome and Y-tracery, and the roof is supported by beams with dragons carved into the roof beams. The building is accessed through a large projecting brick porch dating from the 16th century.
